Privacy Policy

Live Captions HearBee is built to turn nearby speech into readable captions while keeping your conversations private.

On-device processing

• Microphone audio: Used only after you grant permission and processed on your device using Apple's Speech frameworks.
• Captions and transcripts: Created on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
• Titles and summaries: Generated locally using Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework when available, with an on-device fallback.
• Saved conversations and notes: Stored locally on your device. You can delete them in the app or choose to export and share a transcript.

No third-party AI sharing

HearBee does not include or call a third-party AI service. We do not send microphone audio, transcripts, captions, titles, summaries, notes, saved conversations, or other user content to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or any other external AI model or service.

If an Apple speech or intelligence model is not installed, iOS may download that model from Apple. This downloads a model to your device; it does not upload your conversation for processing.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, HearBee reads your latest hearing-test audiogram so you can confirm it is available. HearBee does not add to or change your Health data, and we do not receive or collect your Health data.

Optional tips

Every HearBee feature is free. Optional consumable tips are processed directly by Apple through StoreKit. Tips do not unlock features or additional access. HearBee does not use RevenueCat or another third-party purchase service.

Data collection and retention

HearBee does not require an account and does not include third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect your captions, conversations, Health data, or purchase content.

Conversation history remains on your device until you delete it. Information you deliberately send in a support email is used only to respond to your request.
